The Microbiotic Diet - no quick solution

Actually the foundation of this diet comes from Japan in the late 1890s. The original creator, Dr. Sagen Ishizuka, spent years seeking a cure for his chronic illnesses, skin and kidney. His writings launched a world wide movement known as the “Macrobiotic Movement”.

In the 1960’s, many of today’s “baby boomers” were introduced to this lifestyle during the hippie years. It was during this time that the original teachings were looked upon as being too restrictive. The result of this being the primary diet was changed but still retained much of the original foods. It is now often referred to as Microbiotic Diet. 

As the years have gone by many people, who have made this lifestyle change, have reported astonishing benefits from the diet and lifestyle. A great many people have shown a physical appearance of someone more than 10 years younger than their peers. In addition these same people have demonstrated remarkable energy levels above what they had when they were 20 years younger. 

Furthermore, others using this diet and lifestyle have shown the astonishing ability to ward off many of today’s chronic illnesses. They report few if any colds or bouts of the flu. The majority of them report little to no use of today’s medications. One of the most amazing things is the point they make about not having any headaches.

However this diet does have some possible side effects, which can be detrimental to your overall health. The foods that are allowed in this diet are short of such things as vitamin B 12, calcium and protein. These vitamin shortages can lead to decreases in bone density and energy levels if not properly supplied. But, the good news is that you can get the proper levels of these vitamins, through supplements, which can be purchased at any health store or drugstore without prescriptions.
